For the figures to be even slightly meaningful, everybody would have to have the same amount of savings, saved for the same length of time. Otherwise you'd compare apples with pears. Also, by definition, the more cash you have, the lower the maximum achievable return %age will be.

It's not really interesting. If 4% net then it means you're "only" making £80-£540/year (assuming "we" = 2 singles, 1 joint for both NW & TSB). Whereas someone might get 3% but make over £2000/year interestMortgage (Nov 15): £79,950 | Mortgage (May 19): £71,754 | Mortgage (Sep 22): £0
