Store cards/ Debenhams- any luck re-claiming?
I was reading an article in the 'Mirror' recently about claiming back PPI from Debenhams. Did anyone see the article?
I've had success at reclaiming back PPI from my credit card and my bank for loans and i was wondering if anyone here has actually had any luck really from trying to reclaim from Debenhams cards,
which was Santander now New Day.
I'm just thinking will it be a wasted effort trying so I would be interested to hear any success stories!
Thanks!

Can you link to article. I have the original Debenhams store card - not a CC. I tried to claim many years ago and they didn't respond to me after 1st letter.

You'll have to check with them directly to see if they rejected it and you simply didn't get the mail - if you have complained and they responded then you can be time-barred - you can't complain about the same product twice if you have been rejectedSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I think this may be the article http://www.mirror.co.uk/money/you-used-store-card-1990s-71141390 -
The article is a bit optimistic as pre 2005 sales were not covered by regulation and thus can be rejected without a second thought and then you are at the mercy of the underwriter who didn't sell you anything
