How cold is too cold if they want to go out overnight?

I wouldn't expect my cat to be out in weather that I didn't want to be out in, I also don't let our cat out during the night otherwise I'll have to buy a hot water bottle!

My cat has a catflap so she can decide if its too cold. I've never known her not to do her regular patrols, but she is noticeably out for less time in the winter. OP do you shut them out all night? I certainly wouldn't let mine out if she couldn't get back in if she wanted to.

If the cat wants to be out then thats their choice. But of course, if they are ready to come inside then this should be an option, especially during the winter
