South WestPasturesNew wrote: »I'm in the SW, which is an odd 'region' as it is a long strip from about Bristol down to Lands End .... doesn't really work as a "region" for anything.
I used to be far west SW, now I'm far right/far south SW.
I agree with what you say about the SW "region" being far too varied to work as a coherent entity. Just want to point out, though, that it goes even further north than Bristol. Gloucestershire counts as SW. See here, for example.
I spent 13 years as a young adult in the SE (although the far NW part of it) and the rest of my life, both before and afterwards, in a selection of places around the northern half of the SW region. Oh, and a year in Australia when I was 6.
No distinction for me between living in a region and working in it. The distance between my work and my home has never been big enough to make a difference to which region I was in.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
