Sliding Doors Question

Hi guys
I had a sliding door in my living room. We recently replaced both this one and the normal door with two new ones from wickes.
It's going to be a sliding door still so it runs along the metal runners at the top above the door. However the old door had a channel out of the bottom of the door which ran a long a small guide bit near the door opening (to keep it inline).
Can anyone suggest how I go about getting the channel in the new door? or an alternative option?
Cheers

ps hope this makes sense - it's late
