Morrisons Stratford Parking Ticket - Stage before LBCC

Hey there
I've been frequenting this site of recent because I received a PCN (or shall I say invoice) from Parking Eye on 20th November requesting that I pay their fine of £100 (£85 originally but ignored the first letter)
The specific details of the case was that I drove into Stratford Morrisons to wait inside the car park in order to pick up my partner from another store as I was led to believe that parking inside morrisons was free. On the actual signage as you went into the store it says £1 for 2 hours parking and 2 hours max stay so I figured that if I am staying for less than 2 hours then effectively there is no charge.
I intend to file in an appeal to parking eye either tommorow or monday, but i'm waiting for the POPLA stage as I intend to use some of the points that are on this site
I accept that my argument may be somewhat weak but my partner did shop at morrisons the following day having a proof of purchase on the 21st?
So guys could you give me any advice on the POPLA stage or what to say?
If you need anymore info about case please let me know

Do send a basic appeal from the 'registered keeper' (NOT DRIVER) to PE online, yes, do not ignore it even if you got a LBCCC this is not too late to claw back to a cancellation. Act quickly.
Also this weekend, email:
donotreply@morrisonsplc.co.uk
Do not state what happened that day (specifically NOT whether you shopped THAT DAY) but attach any M's receipts from any days or a Match & More card - to prove you are customers - and state your family are regular M's shoppers and wish to complain in the strongest terms about this penalty which has put you off returning ever again.
Morrisons will cancel it. Job done. Morrisons cases are easy.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

hi, and welcome to the site ......
before you start worrying about POPLA .....make sure you know how to do the first appeal ....
"I intend to file in an appeal to parking eye either tommorow or monday, but i'm waiting for the POPLA stage"
you can not do the POPLA 'stage ' until you have appealed to parkinglie
the newbies thread below should point you in the right way ...
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822
including an appeal template
good luck

Hey There !
Morrisons just called me couple minutes ago, got the charge cancelled!
I explained my story to them about a week ago, but they already worked on it! Thanks Coupon-Mad
Literally the best way to get it cancelled is to go and complain, first to the store where it happened and then to head office, they get it cancelled straight away0 -
Yes indeedy. Well done!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

is why we always tell people to complain to the landowner or retailer or retail park or hospital or surgery , yet they get so caught up in the PPC business with tunnel vision they forget to complain to the actual company that employed them and get it cancelled at source !!
well done for following that excellent advice and please sign the Beavis petition on the government website asap, to try to stop these par@sites once and for all, in order to introduce some betetr standards upon their industry0 -
Hi everyone.
Just to let you know that I received a £85 PCN from PE for being 45mins over my 2-hour stay. I am a regular shopper at Morrisons and after the advice received from other people who have had the same thing, I decided to approach the manager at Morrisons. I rang up tonight and asked to be put through to the manager and was polite and friendly & he told me to go and see him and take the PCN. He said he would cancel it for me and took my details. He signed my PCN and wrote "cancelled" on it with the date and said he would sort it for me. If I get another letter in the mean-time I will obviously call him back up but it seems the best bet is approaching the manager first in a phone call/face to face and try and get them to lift it by explaining you are a local, regular customer. Hope this helps.0 -

Always cancelled within a week. But BLAME Morrisons for signing a contract lasting up to FIVE YEARS with ParkingEye...who on Earth would have agreed to that, allowing your own agent to sue your customers. Madness.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Morrisons should ferret out whoever signed the agreement with Parking Eye, might turn out that he/she is on a commission from Parking Eye0
