There are many things you can do to clean up a windows pc, these are a very good starting point......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -

You could give Systemcare a go besides the ones above. I run it about every 3 weeks. Keep your eyes open for the Pro version, you should be able to find the license key on Google.0

Layers of updates over time and gradual entry of spyware I think are the main killers of all laptop speed. As well as more in the registryThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Also worth disabling any unnecessary startup items you might have. They're stored in these two registry keys:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
If desired, you can create a shortcut to the disabled startup items. Just enter the data value of the registry key as the shortcut location, and use the same name. Then you can manually start the disabled items if needed.
You can also do this by running msconfig, but I prefer the registry editing method.0 -
