and when you receive your nSP you wont find out then either. These might include small amounts of the old Graduated Pension and AP, but they no longer give you a breakdown of these amounts so I don't know if these have been lost or not.
It doesnt even look as though you will have the opportunity to make any further contributions either but it will, hopefully, be increased by two years increases if the forecast is 12 months ago.0

I just came across this- "data protection" seems a rather odd excuse!0

What's the best way for me to contact them to get as much info as possible for self and spouse. I want to know exact years in/out/shake-it-all-about, and the calculations for old and new.
ThanksI am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0

 Odd does not cover it.
Premise is that 3% of the letters might get lost - therefore the other 97% can't get the info.
Is anybody really convinced Ros Altmann knows sufficient detail about the DPA to even express a coherent concern let alone make a decision on such basis.0

It isn't Altmann that has come up with this but DWP Legal advice to DWP Communications.
All irrelevant in a way, as the DWP has no statutory duty to inform people whether directly or indirectly.0

That was all to do with WASPI and Pension Act 1995/2011 notification rather than the new state pension.
But yes they would have been better off saying we didn't send letters because we didn't have to.0

Okay, I've dug out some more figures from a 2014 forecast.
Just to recap I'm currently expecting £153/week
In 2014 I was told this:
 Basic SP £113.10
Additional SP and Graduated Retirement Benefit £33.17
 So total pension of £146.27
That's the only breakdown I've seen.
The GRB was in force from 6 APR 61 to 5 APR 75
And Additiona SP could be lower if you were contracted out between 6 APR 78 to 5 APR 97
Hope that's of interest, not sure it actually helps!
 Cheers fj0

No - this is to do with the new flat rate pension and this situation would exist if WASPI or the 1995/2011 never existed.
It is to do with the bad scent of attempting to hide the bad news part of the new flat rate pension when many had been misled from the outset.
I don't know if you read the article in the link but there is not a mention of WASPI or the equalisation changes. Some people are blinded by the WASPI thing - at some point you will need to move on from it.0

This is what she said apparently: Baroness Altmann said: "I don't think that it is possible for us to just send out a statement for everybody. There are data protection issues, there are all kinds of issues.
That's scientific reasoning then .... All irrelevant in a way, as the DWP has no statutory duty to inform people whether directly or indirectly. All irrelevant in a way, as the DWP has no statutory duty to inform people whether directly or indirectly.
I don't quite understand your point - if the DWP has no duty to inform people either directly or indirectly how is anybody going to know what is going on? They have a belated information campaign currently which they are trying to address the issue.0

No - this is to do with the new flat rate pension

I did read the article but more to the point I actually watched Ros Altmann and the two DWP people giving evidence to the DWP committee yesterday.
That answer was all to do with WASPI and Mhairi Black asking about letters being sent out to those women involved.
 Did you watch it?0
