How to sell funds.
I have money invested in VLS 60 via Charles Stanley, this investment is within an ISA wrapper and would like to know the procedure to follow if I wish to sell part or all this investment but keep it within the ISA wrapper as cash, (that last bit is important)
I am aware most would say now is a bad time to sell and to be honest I am just looking at my options if I wish to go down this path.
I also know some will say I should know how to sell before I purchase but some help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.

Have you asked Charles Stanley?
It is very usual to sell an investment and use the proceeds to buy something else, so they probably answer your question every day.0 -
Select the fund, click on the "Sell funds" button, enter the amount of the fund you want to sell (I believe you can choose number of units or cash value at this point). Confirm the transaction. Wait for CSD to complete the transaction and the proceeds will be put into your ISA account. You won't receive any interest on it though and you will be charged for them holding it at their current ISA rate.
Edit: Apparently they pay a massive 0.025% interest on cash. https://www.charles-stanley-direct.co.uk/Our_Charges/0 -
When you sell, the cash automatically stays in the ISA, you have to explicitly withdraw the cash from the ISA if you want to take it out.0

Thank you for your responses they are most helpful,
So to summarise after the sale of funds the cash stays within an ISA with C.S until I choose to do something with it? (purchase other funds or move money out).
If I choose to move this cash to an outside agent who accepts cash ISA transfers do I just notify the new provider in the usual way and they will then deal with it?
Thanks again for any help.
