What now

Read on here recently about claiming back charges and interest on payday loans. I have received a statement from Quickquid with all my loans I have had with them, waiting for Paydayuk to respond. Once I have all the information what is my next course of action please.

  • You'll need to make up a convincing argument for why you should get a refund.

Bank charges can be requested if you are in CURRENT financial hardship (struggling to pay bills, charges causing more charges etc). Banks will examine your situation and if they agree, may refund say 6 months of charges or freeze future charges

You have zero chance for historic charges as the banks won the "unfair charges" case in 2009.

Pay day loan advice you should post on the loans forum as the interest stuff has been covered there

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
