How to get a Cashback Barclaycard ?

Hi guys.

I was wondering if anyone knows how to get a Cashback Barclaycard. The Visa AmEx duo cards. I can't see if anywhere on the website for application, and can only find a FAQ's section for those whom already hold the card.

I have had a Platinum Barclaycard since July 2014 and have never been offered a move to the Cashback account or anything.

Thanks.

The only way to get this is to call and ask as an existing customer.

It's never been offered to new customers. Folks who were on an old cashback card were put onto this one (eg my dad, who only uses the Visa and thinks the Amex is a different account no matter what I say....)

Anyway, existing customers can phone up and ask for it. People have been offered it when calling to cancel, as in this recent thread.

Usually need a Barclaycard with at least 6 months good standing on the account. I upgraded to this cardset from a Freedom Rewards after 6 months.
  • Do you still get balance transfer offers with these cards aswell?

i have the same card with plenty of months of 'good standing', and good question wroenaldinho.. thinking ahead a year i will be looking to move debt back to Barclaycard:think:
  • Yes, i will only get it if they offer balance transfers etc to it, without I'll just stick to my nationwide 0.5%, and keep my freedom rewards open as I've still got lots of offers on it.
  • Do you still get balance transfer offers with these cards aswell?

They still e-mail me with balance transfers every month, and I have the AmEx cashback... The ones they sent me this month were 0% balance transfer until Sept 17 (2.9% fee) or 0% cash transfer until Dec 16 (1.9% fee). Hope that helps!
  • phone call is the good options.
