I just purchased a Philips DVDR3380 Recorder.
I have no TV aerial.....just watch TV from my Sky+ box. Anyone know how I can set up my DVD recorder to tape from Sky ???

Just connect it with a Scart lead to the spare connector on your Sky box.
You will then have to select one of the AV inputs on you DVD-r and off you go.
Of course you will only be able to record the current programme that is being received or is playing back on the Sky+ box. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Don't know if it's the same as Freeview, Sky might be different, but my DVD recorder is connected using scart cables between the Freeview box and the television in spite of there being a second scart socket on the Freeview box.
This is the way shown and described in both the tv manual and dvd-r manual.
Have a look here as well. http://www.radioandtelly.co.uk/connect.html0
