The question is exactly what it asks - how much money does the company have in the bank (and in hand - as that is the full question)
Assuming the company has never traded, then you may not even have a bank account for it.
However you should put the value as £1 (assuming the share is fully paid up) so that the balance sheet balances.
If not, then the question will arise as to what has happened to the £1 you (theoretically) invested in the company when you set it up.0 -

Yes.:)
The question is 'Cash at bank and in hand'. You put the figure 1 in that box, so your balance sheet balances.
That £1 coin you have in your pocket? That's the company's £1. Or any spare change you have got that adds up to a quid, for that matter. Got that?:)
No one is ever going to ask you for that pound, so it does not signify.0 -
Hi, I have also set up a limited company that has not started trading yet, originally set up with 1 ordinary share issued at £1, do the following values look correct?
Current assets:
Cash at bank and in hand 1
Net assets 1
Issued share capital 1
Ordinary Share of £1 each 1
Total Shareholder funds 1
Many thanks in advance0 -
Yes £1
You of cause would need to pay back the £1 should the company fail, which if dormant it cant in theory.0
