I suppose with Chilcot taking 7 years they think that's efficient.
BT is one of the most expensive landline companies out there. I rang them up after being with them for over 20 years and asked for a combined service deal. Would only offer free broadband if I signed up there and then.
BT landline rental is the most expensive out there. Which I find is a laugh when they recently quoted 'we only charge the going rate comparable to our competitors'. It's a well known fact that all the other companies charge just a little less than BT.
A bit much when you know the wholesale price to them and others is just under £9 and BT own the company, even though it's at arms length.
The most ironic thing is I moved to their 'nicer sister' company, Plusnet.
So far with all the lower landline rental, better offer broadband charges and cashback, with a bit of haggling thrown in, I have paid out about £240 for 2 years service.
So go figure!

Not quite. Plusnet seems OK at the mo.
UK customer service centres and good pricing.
How this will go after the merger God only knows and he ain't telling.:A

'Can you imagine what it will be like when BT and EE Customer Care is merged?
I think I'll take up alcohol.'

You realise both services use the BT Wholesale back end right?
It uses the BT Wholesale backend from the exchange up to EE's network.
BT's uses BT Wholesale right up to BT's network.
There is a difference.
In customer service maybe.
