50% Discount on Equifax Credit Report & Score

I know that there are threads and guides around how these products are available a lot cheaper using the £2 statutory report but I thought I would share this.
I just called Equifax to see what is in the statutory report vs the £14.99 plan and found out they are exactly the same - shown in the same format on the same website. I check my credit frequently but figured I could cut this down to once a month to make the saving and forgo the score completely, as it's more for vanity than relevance.
The rep on the phone immediately offered me 6 months of the £14.99 service at £7.45 and told me that if I called in the 6th month to ask for the discount again I should get it.
Maybe this isn't one for everyone but for those that need to check more than once it is a good line to go in with 'I am happy without the score and getting just one report a month'. Seems to instantly attract the discount.
Here's what I was just sent:
Original price: £14.94
Refund due: £14.94
The refund amount will be applied to the credit or debit card you used to make your purchase.
New price: £7.45
Your payment card will be charged £7.45 today and then on or around the 15th of each month thereafter. We'll email you if there are any changes to your payments.

Couldn't you just request the £2 statutory report every month and it would be far cheaper?0

Or even three times a month?0
