You raised this problem of an Exotic meter in November 2014.
Did you ask SSE if your meters could be changed to a Standard E7 set up?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
2 meters. How are you billed at present-do you have 2 MPAN's or 1?.
My understanding is that all you need for E7 is one MPAN-the extra physical meter should not matter.
If not, ask your incoming supplier to switch you to a single E7 meter-however any rewiring required downstream will be down to you.No free lunch, and no free laptop

2 MPANs at the moment.
looks like i'll actually need to speak to someone at SSE

Some companies will give you a deal based on cheaper night-time electricity, but if they only offer one tariff they should just aggregate both readings, you don't need a new meter.0

They won't do that if there are two MPAN's. You either have to stick to an E10 tariff \(with a very limited supplier base) or change the metering.
And not all suppliers will merge the readings from an E7 meter for single rate, some require a dedicated E7 meter. No free lunch, and no free laptop
