Voucher cards

Hello

I bought several of the credit card style gift vouchers for people for Christmas but 2 of them were no accepted at the till of the appropriate store as their system said they had been used before I bought them.

I returned them to the shop I bought them from as I was under the impression that my contract was with them and not the store named on the card.

The person on Customer Services tried to tell met that I should take it up with the named store but it was only after a while where I stood my ground that they gave me replacement cards. She added that they only sell the cards and have nothing further to do with it b

Was I right or should I have taken it up with the store where the cards were to be used.

You was right. Your contract is with who you purchased the cards from.

Yes you were right. Can you imagine the chaos if Tescos for example said this about all their products that were not own brand.
