Windows 10 emails illegible

Just recently some (not all) emails I receive are completely illegible script. This is a new computer with Windows 10 pre-loaded; running Kaspersky free anti-virus - any clues on how to fix this please?:(

Have you tried settings and changing the font .

Windows 10 own email app. I haven't found anywhere to change the font, but its not that as some of them you can partially read - I think it might be reading in text rather than HTML? Yes I know who the emails are from, all known - even one of my own from work to home!0
