Is there any way to get more columns in the start/all programs screen with a xp operating system?
I currently have five columns, but I can only see four and a half of them!

Other then reduce the size of it aka have the resolution higher, or to enable scolling programs.0

What I used to do was open C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs and create a folder hierarchy.
e.g. create a folder there called 'Security' and drag the AV, Firewall, Anti-spyware folders into it. Then when you go to All Programs, they're all in the Security folder.
The only downside is that when you delete a program, you have to manually delete the start menu entry because the uninstaller doesn't know where you've moved it.
These days I just use Launchy instead of Start0 -

Or use the freeware version of TidyStartMenu to do it for you.
