ESA compliance interview

So now your agreeing with Dullville, you said Jail was off the cards when clearly it can and does happen.
I am not aware of any prosecutions which started with a compliance interview.
Prison is a very rare outcome for very high overpayments or where there are aggravating factors or a relevant antecedent.0 -
Absolutely rubbish. If a major fraud is discovered during a compliance interview of course the evidence is admissible, that's the whole point of these interviews as a previous poster stated they are initially fact finding.Usually it does not get passed to criminal once compliance have interviewed though.
A compliance officer can not caution a customer so anything said to compliance is inadmissible.
The majority of these compliance interviews are down to tip offs to the DWP or the councils about alleged fraud.
Dippy some of your posts are laughable especially the ones you contradict yourself and backtrack on..0 -
Everything's sorted. I rang the DWP and explained I had an overpayment and agreed to pay it back as one lump sum by cheque.0

For everyone accusing me of dishonesty or hoping I go to prison, let me point out that as soon as I'd been made aware there was some sort of overpayment I rang the DWP to sort it out and calculate the amount I owed them. I might add as well that when I made the claim, a couple weeks later I tried to kill myself and was placed in a mental hospital, right on my birthday.0

Im not reading this thread all over again but where did anyone say they hoped you would go to prison?0 -

Yes I know what a compliance officer does.
Let's put it another way. As a fraud officer I have never been allocated a case which has had a compliance interview. Occasionally they suspect something else is going on and it's transferred but more often than not it remains a compliance matter. A lot of compliance stuff is anon information which is not deemed enough on which to commence an intrusive and time consuming criminal investigation.
So I have not back tracked, I have clarified.0 -
hi dippy
When you say as a fraud officer, in what role are you employed in?0 -

It was initially me who first mentioned the post below but I decided to delete it as I was unsure if you was just bragging in order to get attention. But then I recently looked at your other posts so I have decided re post this.
What to do with approx £50,000 savings?Hi, I'm 22, and by my 23rd birthday I estimate I will have saved £50,000 (or thereabouts), through a mixture of blood, sweat and tears and not spending anything! What is the best thing to do with this money to make it grow? I'm quite a risk-averse individual, just to point out
What concerns me and others on this forum is you say you have saved £10,000 yet you will reach £50,000 by your 23rd Birthday yet your on ESA+PIP.
You can only get a max amount of under £17,000 on ESA+PIP. This leaves £23,000 income unaccounted for.
Even if we included £6000 extra income which you can get though permitted work there would still be £17,000 of income which is unaccounted for.
Would you care to explain?0 -
