Morning all
Thanks for starting us off Ally
Slept in a bit this morning, but this is so unusual for me, I must have needed it! Still not feeling quite right, but less shivery and headachey than yesterday. Not sure if I am 'getting' something or not. Anyway, onwards... Feeling a lot better tonight, perhaps I just needed the extra sleep (went to bed yesterday afternoon as well as sleeping in this morning, unheard of for me) Perhaps I need to hibernate
Today's list:
Dog walks x 2 (may get OH to do one of them) We both went first thing, I did the afternoon one
Wash kitchen floor Also did the bathroom and hall tiles
Check banks Oops must do this!
Portion and freeze cooked turkey that doesn't get used today Done, we have had 3 meals, 2 lots in the freezer and a tub of stock which might get made into soup tomorrow
Postal survey tasks - need to go to the post office today, which inevitably means queueingCombined with dog walk #1, there wasn't a long queue as the PO had only just opened
Any online surveys, FPL etc Several surveys for onepoll again today
HM meals from stores Done
Finalised online shop, for delivery tomorrow evening
Walk all journeys Done
Didn't manage a NSD, as I won a couple of bowls on ebay, which will complete the 1960s / 70s dinner service I have been collecting. Only £4.99 plus postage, so not too drastic though. The whole lot only cost about £20, for 6 of everything plus teapot, milk jug and sugar basin (Alfred Meakin Hereford, if anyone is as mad about old things / china as I am)
Not an ambitious list today, but no point if I am feeling below par - but hopefully I will end up doing more
Hope you all have a good day
PS, hope your son is better when he wakes up Legomum.0 -
Thanks Dawn, he woke at 9am and looks very pale but is jabbering away which is a good sign
Hope that you're feeling 100% soon too.0 -
Disastrous start to the day. DH and DS were up at four to take 4 old girl cows on their last trip. DH returned quite upset as he gets very attached. Loading and driving through snow with his precious load stressed him out completely.
I was meant to get up at 5 and do sheep. I woke at 5, felt rough, turned over and slept til 8! Oh DEAR. DS was off milking from 5 so he is still unaware I have done absolutely nothing. Hanging my head as I type. I have made work, I am just having a tough time managing my sleep pattern. I must get into a lambing routine and stop having a split night of sleep.
Otherwise should be a NSD. Unless I win the safety wellies I am bidding on ebugs. Wellies are a constant source of irritation for me. £65 a pair and rarely last me a year without leaking! Makes me so cross.
Onwards and upwards and maybe by the end of the weekend I will be in my lambing body clock.

Morning Everyone
I can excitedly inform you all that I had an interview at 08.30 this morning and I was offered the job on the spot. Of course I said yes :T *breathes sigh of relief*
On to todays list:
NSD.
A bit of housework.
Check online banking.
Maybe a little walk. It's nice and crisp here this morning.
Hopefully get round to completing online surveys. I've not done one this week
That's it. Not much to do today but smile and be utterly thankful.
Have a lovely day and weekend people.
Stay safe and keep smiling
Pace :jMoney scares me.
Honesty update will arrive shortly......:o0 -
Morning All....
Quite a boring day for me today but will try to think of a few things to make me feel like I am achieving something:
School run - done
Breakfast - scrambled egg on toast - done
Potter around tidying a few things at home
Nursery run
Make shopping list for tomorrow, planning on cooking homemade Chinese meals, healthy but on a budget!
Lunch from stores
Plan dinner from stores
Put a £1 in my £1 a day savings
School run
Few surveys
Relax, or try to!
Only got a few quid until I get my money tomorrow so need to plan finances a little better to make sure nothing is wasted in my prep to start DMP in a few months.
Sorry if it's a bit boring, I'm new to all this! :jDMP Started June 20160 -
Morning all,
Today's small thing:
*Wrote shopping list over breakfast. Hadn't realised mr f has a half day & was planning to pick up the groceries on his way home. Wrote target spend on list. Tight month.
*Clean whole house using minimal products & washable cloths. Have done half of it. Just need to hoover & do bathroom.
*Refill vintage glass decanter with bubblebath. A good way to make El Cheapo look special.
*Mid-month budget check-in, filing & admin.
*Make list of everything I need to do in town tomorrow, including any fruit & veg I need to get from the market.
*Investigate breakdown cover renewal. They've only stuck a couple of quid on it but it's still a bit cheeky as we've never called them out & inflation is near zero.
*A charity sack & huge carrier bag recycled as bin bags. Can't think why anyone would actually buy these.
*Two jobs minimum from my Annoying Things list......one little thing which had annoyed me for months despite being solvable in less than 5 mins......& more work on a bigger project.
*If payment I'm expecting hasn't arrived in the bank today, email to chase it, as this has been going on since November.
Ok, better go & get on with hoovering bedrooms.
Have a good Friday all. No snow here. It only came into the very north of the county. Big frost though. Bright now & very very cold. I've got 3 tops on. Said to mr f 'Bet your dream was always to be married to a small wool Yeti". He said it's what's underneath that counts. Errr.....that'd be some Christmas flab then!
Ok.....HOOVER!!
