We got one of these for an Xmas present from Tesco black Friday. It was a good price, but - when you set a 'start up' password, and then when logging on make a minor error in entering the password, it doesn't tell you have gone wrong or give you another chance, but just hangs up, sometimes with the screen flickering. This can't be right. Is it something in the Settings?
Once you finally get it going it can be very slow, though intermittently, when opening programs and documents.
Has anyone else had these problems?

Thanks for the info, we bought one on Black Friday too but haven't tried it yet - will be sure to this weekend ...

Is this a BIOS password or a windows password?
If its a BIOS password then its working as it should. If you input the wrong password it will not boot.
