If the website allows it I highly doubt you will have any problems.

You need to pay full price for a bag before you get 50% off of a kids bag its in their t&c's
Live each day like its your last because one day you'll be right
  • on my Ryanair booking, I've paid for 1 x 20kg bag and my 8 year old daughter has a 20kg & 15kg bag in her name, for half price.

I did similar with 1 15kg bag for me and a 20kg one at half price for my daughter
  • If you get pulled up at the bag drop for it there's no room for complaint. The T&Cs state "We are offering 50% discounts off checked bags, allocated seating, Priority Boarding and travel insurance for children (excluding infants 0-23 months) aged 2-15 years when the accompanying adult(s) in the same booking, purchase a corresponding fully priced service."

So an adult 15kg bag = a half price childrens 15kg bag. An adult 20kg bag = a half price childrens 20kg bag.

I'd be grumbling - I've not pulled any dodgy shennanigans, simply booked my stuff online with them.
I've just done another dummy booking and its still going through as was.
It even lets you book 1 x adult bag at 15 kg and a child can book 1 x 20 Kg and 1 x 15 Kg at the discounted rate, if you are keen enough to save a £10.

Maybe the fully priced, corresponding service is simply luggage, arther than specific weights/sizes of luggage.

I know the website lets you, but whether it's correct in doing so I don't know. The conditions attached to 'Family Extra' seem to state otherwise. Perhaps a definitive explanation from Ryanair would be an idea?

It won't matter much to me. If push comes to shove, Kitten 1 can have the 20 kg bag and Kitten 2 can have the 15 kg bag. I've already paid for the 20 kg bag.

p.s. I've just looked at my confirmation and its showing that Kitten the youngest has both bags in her name and that its all paid for :)
