I bought some sweet chilli dipping sauces reduced from £2 to 10p last month in MnS but they have as much sugar as tomato sauce so I am donating to less neurotic eaters via the food bank box rather than binning them.
My weight has started to go down again. I think it’s just awareness. Take this morning, I usually eat 2 eggs by default, but had 1 and I was just as satisfied.
I hope to do a bit more gardening, clean the front windows and door and go to my yoga class this evening. These are my plans. We shall see…
I am making kedgeree for supper but quinoa and rice instead of just rice and edamame instead of peas. I’m hoping it will be delicious.
I am WFH all week. I ordered some wine from A1di. A mixed red and white box of 6 bottles. Nice wine choices and £24 with no delivery charges. No carrying and great prices too! It will save me time and money when I am visiting friends and want to take a bottle and a glass of red now and then will be very nice too.
I found 2 hot water bottles whilst tidying up! I knew I had spares somewhere!
Cold but sunny here. Heating not on until it is dark, but wearing warm fingerless gloves, in a south facing sunny room with a lap blanket, a warm scarf and I have a hot water at the base of my spine whilst I work.
Have a good day reader

I cleaned the inside of the windows and the front door inside and out. By the time I finished work it was dark so the outside of the living room windows will have to wait.
I had kedgeree made with edamame, spinach and red quinoa. Stunning to look at and very tasty. I shall make it again. The smoked haddock can be cooked from frozen and is from Ald1, making this an easy meal to put together from existing ingredients. The meal would make tasty leftovers and would work well cold for a packed lunch. If there were any leftovers…:)
I had a meal last week at GBK and it was mega disappointing so I wrote to head office and told them so, more to get the frustration out than anything else. The angry late night email when I got in resulted with an apology from GBK and vouchers so we can both have a meal there again for free. Kerching. :money:
I went for a walk after work as I’d been sitting all day. I went to L1dl and ended up spending £18!
I’m spending too much this month. I need to pull back so tomorrow will be a NSD. Definitely!
I hope you had a good day reader

I'm glad everything is still going good with the handyman and the hot water bottle find is amazing. DD and I share one at the moment but I am going to put one in my list to Santa lol.

I am feeling stressed. I am entering a time when I am not keen on my job. It isn’t the job exactly, more I just want to be free to do the things I want to do. I work below my ability in this role and whilst this is less stressful it isn’t ‘free’ enough for me and as a result I am losing confidence in myself. This might make no sense to anyone except me. If so, sorry for the waffle….:o
Recently Orange Ena and MT have both done the work on what they want to do next and where they want to be. I have also been inspired by Another Casualty who has bravely moved and resigned from his job.
I need to do some serious thinking about my future. I need to stay in this post, (or get another job) for the whole of 2017 in order to become debt free. Perhaps applying for roles with a bigger salary will help me get where I need to be faster. But I don’t want to get a new job where I am so miserable I feel compelled to leave? I don’t know!
I guess what I do know is I want to sell and move so I need money coming in to do up the house.
Today I am having a NSD.
Today I agreed for the handyman to come back on Friday.
Feeling blue. Here’s hoping you are in the pink

Hi DIA
I do know what you mean about feeling free in your job and it's one of the reasons I have stayed in mine so far - I know that although I could move and have the same disposable income, and possibly a different lifestyle in some ways, I would really hate being told what to do by two more levels of people. I haven't found a solution yet either.
However, it's always easier to put up with things when you have a purpose in mind, so perhaps thinking more about what you want and how soon you can have it would make it feel like a better trade and less of a slog?
I hope your day's got brighter

Hi DIA
sorry to hear you're feeling stressed. I wondered if this would help you with your thinking. It's a tool I used quite often in my work (before retirement) and I still use it if I have to make any big life decisions.

Decluttered:
Stones (Yes, I was keeping stones!)
12 glass bottles (because they were Neal’s Yard and I liked the colour!)
The handyman is getting on my nerves today. I think I’ve reached tradesmen saturation point as this is his third time here in less than a week. He brought his son today (inset day) so I felt compelled to have my heating on during the day as I didn’t want him to be cold. He ate greasy junk food in my living room and as I don’t have a functional kitchen to eat in and I was working in the dining room I had to let it go. He came an hour late. Even his smoking is bugging me today. I definitely need a break from tradesmen. Just as well I have no money left…
I’m much better with tradesmen in my home but I can’t relax
Two hours to go before I can breathe out again.:)
I hope you are having a good day reader
