A spendy day but I no longer spend without thought so it was ‘good’ spending.
A beautiful Savoy cabbage 70p reduced to 29p
5 postcards from the Sally Army. They also have bread that the artisan bakery have over ordered. So, a no yeast 100% rye. Was £4 but I paid £1 for. I am not a coeliac but I am gluten intolerant. Rye is low gluten and I can tolerate a small amount of gluten. I sliced and froze it. It’s a v small loaf so I think a slice a day may be ok. I’ll soon find out.
I spoke to the work counsellor who got on my nerves so much I don’t want to bother with him anymore. I need to look at other ways of getting support. I might consider a counsellor of my own, but where to find one at low cost??
Breakfast
2 apples and pear (15p in total)
Lunch
rest of the 14p egg mayo sandwich filler and a slice of said rye.
Supper
quinoa and kidney beans (70p) broccoli (7p) wild salmon (2.95 (was £7)) green chillies
I went to Arg0s for my fitbit and decided it wasn’t worth it for me. I traditionally ‘buy my goals’ and I want to stop doing that. I know I need to move more. I’m going to do it with time instead of steps. I know I need to spend 1 hour being active every day. These are 7 activities for 7 days
zumba
walking to and from the station (30 minutes each way)
walking to and from the station (30 minutes each way)
walking to and from the station (30 minutes each way)
cycle to Ald1 for weekly shop (30 minutes each way)
active house hour (ideally outside to include window cleaning)
walk for weekly coffee treat on day off (30 minutes each way)
There. Done. And saved £79 and I’m not bringing another ‘thing’ into my life!
That is me for now. Back later
Happy nearly weekend

Well done on the no spend (Fitbit) and sorting your own plan out.
I too am very proud of you arranging the work man. How much longer are you away for?
Hope it's nice and sunny like it is here.

Cheering you on for the handyman DIA
you've got this, you're a strong Fitbit purchase avoiding woman and I know you won't need to cancel!
The buying your goals thought really struck a chord with me, I've had all sorts of kit over the years for my goals, some of which are still a 'work in progress'. You've made me think differently and I'll remember it next time I'm tempted by a goal purchase.0 -
Go DIA!
I can also totally see what you mean about buying goals... *puts hands over eyes to avoid seeing unused stockpot, mixer, etc in kitchen of woman eating cheese and a Magnum:o* will try and remember that when I set some!

Thanks for the votes of confidence people. Tink, I am back to normality and the daily grind next week…
My capacity for self delusion surprises me sometimes.I CANNOT EAT GLUTEN AND THERE IS GLUTEN IN RYE. So, eating the bread did not work and aching joints and foggy head yesterday. Bread binned.
I swam this morning. Yes, you heard me right. I swam. It was cold. :T There were people wearing wetsuits and I had a bikini, but I swam and it was invigorating and crazy and totally fantastic. I am swimming with my neighbour again tomorrow at 10.00am
I have lost the plot with my budget as I bought some beautiful organic face cream that was a most reasonable price, so I got one for my friend too as a thank you for letting me stay in her amazing house for most of September. I will tally my budget this afternoon and get a grip.
I am going on a YS hunt today as I haven’t YS hunted for a few days and apart from eggs there is nothing left to eat. I had the last of the YS pears and nuts this morning for breakfast.
The only veg left are raw beetroots. I have garlic and a bit of fennel and a tin of chickpeas. I can see beetroot and chickpea burgers…perhaps there is something after all.
I spoke to my friend about 2017 being the last year of debt for me. It’s a long way away but the more I say it, the more motivated I feel.
Happy Sunday

I am so enjoying YS hunting. I am a definite meal planner but I’m enjoying the spontaneity of my unknown meals. It’s a bit scary when there is nothing in and you have run out and you are hoping for YS bargains to create a meal. But fun!
Today:
organic carrots 15p
a cod loin for 28p
fruit and veggie prepped (includes mango, melon, cucumber, a dip, and carrots) 30p
I also bought full price humous £1.05. parma ham on offer for £2.00 (and revels for £1)
I ate the fruit and veggies with some of the parma ham and humous and now I have enough for tomorrow’s meals too.
