I haven't done great today. I don’t know if it is because I have a chest infection but I can feel my mood changing.
I heard some activity in the loft so my initial elation has gone, now I am wondering if they are mice at all…They sound heavy. It might be my negative mood clouding my thoughts, but I think they might be squirrels which will be expensive…:(
I am supposed to call my handyman who wants to come this weekend to start the bedroom decoration and I haven't done so as I don’t want him here…
I am starting my new additional job on Thursday and feeling uncomfortable about standing up in front of a group of people whilst feeling shabby.
I feel like a bottle of wine and some crisps, neither of which will help in any way so I refused to buy either
Feeling blue...I could easily go on a spending spree but I cannot as I have no credit card as I cut it up last year. I am glad I did.
I hope your day has gone better than mineIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

*hugs* sorry you are feeling low, get something comforting, it shall pass. Sending good vibes your way:A

Much sympathy from me. Could you do some home pampering to cheer yourself up tonight? If you have a look on you tube there are some good facial massage demos that really help.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0

How about a charity shop challenge spree? Eg with a £5 limit? So that you get to look, but with limited potential damage.

A nasty bug can really bring you down DIA. Just concentrate on getting well - you can sort everything else out later.

What rotten luck that you're floored with this chest infection not long before you start your new job. Just try to take care of yourself as best you can and I'm sure you'll feel as right as rain in no time. Vitamins, good food, water and rest (as well as meds? did you see the doc?) and you should be right as rain in no time. Feel better soon. xCC1: £4481.14/ £5031.14 (12% paid off, £600) | CC2:£3307/ £3807 (14.4% paid off, £550) | Loan: £10,528.20/ £15,792.30((33% paid off, £5,264))

Have you tried garlic and onion syrup for the chest infection DIA? It's really easy to make and works wonders but you might need to pick a night when you're working from home the next day!

Thank you to all the lovely folk who took the time to post comments over the past few days. :A
In the end I gave in to the chest infection and took a few days off. I am off ill today too.
Yesterday I struggled especially. I had my first interview for the organisation that may provide an extra income stream. They agreed to do it on the telephone as I was so unwell. I have just been told I am through to the second interviews next week. :T
I slept all day yesterday and then in the evening I taught my class and it went extremely well. I enjoyed it. I have stage fright whenever I do new things these days (why I don’t know:o) But I generally deliver. I hear lights, camera, action and do what I need to do. The students seem really nice and the vibe (despite my coughing and spluttering) was good.
If it wasn’t for this diary and setting a DF target I would not have identified the need for extra income streams.
If I get this new job I will be back on target for my DF date
Just as important I get back a bit more control over my life. If I need to have a manicure or get rid of squirrels from my loft I can do it and not compromise my DF date
Off to read diaries and have a cup of teaIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
