Money in my account :T
So, I paid towards my debt. I was hoping this payment would take me into the 9s but I am still in the 10s. It's still good really... determined to be grateful. I have paid off £14,400 in 13 months after allSignature amended.
I have lots to pay out this month so it would be silly to pay anything more towards debt. Hoping to pay extra in during the month in bits and pieces. I start teaching next week but I am not going to put in a pay claim until the end of the summer so I am not tempted to spend it. Paying a lump sum to debt at the end of July will help this figure.
My new cash only and much reduced food plan begins today. I am also going to reduce the times I allow myself to step foot in a shop. Twice a week should be more than sufficient for me. Later I will get cash out and put in my envelopes for the week.

After years of complaining about my awful GP practice and 2 years saying I would change, today I did. :T I took in all the relevant paperwork and it took all of 15 minutes. This practice has good NHS reports and they actually answer the phone. I am hopeful. I have health issues so I need decent medical support. I need to be proactive and do what I need to do to get what I need to get
I have my weekly funds in a jam jar in cash. My next withdrawal date will be next Tuesday. It feels better having cash. I am already more cautious and cash feel more real.
There is a bank holiday coming up and I am going out for the day on Sunday to a posh health club with a friend. She has a guest pass so I will just pay for coffees. I was looking for a swimsuit today and did not find one. If I don’t find one I am going nowhere
I have a long day tomorrow as I am working as a volunteer as a waitress, wine server, general dogsbody for a pop up restaurant for VIPs who have paid over the odds. A celebrity cook will be cooking for the organisation I do voluntary work for. Should be exciting, if tiring as I won’t finish until 10/11pm.
Tomorrow my priority is buying mice trays to put into my loft. I will have to do this before work as I have a busy day. If the trays do not work I will call in the big guns but that will cost more…
Hope you had a good day readerIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Hi,
Re the mice in the loft. We have this problem on and off, old house with stone walls so they get in easily. We also have six cats so they are not the solution. The most effective thing I have found is throwing up a few 'Rentokil pasta bait' things into the corners of the loft. Bought mine in B n Q but have seen them in Wilkos and i can see Amazon do them. They are c£9 but a pot lasts for a while as there are 20 or so in the tub. Blue, smell like chewing gum. Here they stop the rustling noises overnight, unlike the stuff in the trays which did nothing.
Hope this helps.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
hex2 your reply is very helpful. I had a full on day from the minute I got up, so much so I am overtired and can't switch off. So I did not in fact deal with the mice issue today and now I am glad I did not as I would have bought the trays. I will get the product you suggest tomorrow instead. Thank you for taking the time to share your experienceIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

A busy night for me waitressing for important people at a charity event. I must be too old as I was so exhausted when I fell into bed. But it was good hard. There was a pop up cocktail bar too and the wine being served came with a story of exclusivity and age. There was a good buzz all night long. I met some lovely people too
The food was amazing especially a baby leek in a buckwheat batter. Simple but stunning. It was such a treat to work with professional chefs and front of house. I got lots of ideas on table settings and food presentation.
In the future one of my other ideas (when in my next home) is to host a monthly supper club so I love stealing ideas and adapting them to suit me. This might be another enjoyable income stream.
I bought a friend a present yesterday but other than that I did not buy any food and I did not waste any money on cups of coffee either
I woke with a headache but I pushed through, took a pain killer. I dodged a migraine but I am left feeling tired.
I had a delivery of some skinny jeans (in fine blue cord) I bought a few days aago. They were in the BOden sale and cost me £18 instead of £60. They fit well and they will be good for work
I made a miso veggie and turkey soup that is total yum.
I will be spending today after work in Ald1 and W1lkos on a few essentials.
Tonight I will pay a few bills too.
That is about it for me.
I hope your day went well

The waitressing sounds like a lot of fun, DIA. Glad you got some enjoyment out of it as well as getting paid. I always enjoyed jobs like that when I was younger

Today was another crazy busy day as my overall manager who is wonderful and recruited me to the organisation left. I gave her a Stratton compact from my vintage collection to remember me by and she loved it. I love it when a present and a person match up
Drinks after work. Nice
I heard back from the job I applied for and I am through to the first interview
Lunch was courtesy of a free voucher
I picked up the mice blocks hex3 suggested but I have not had any daylight hours to go into the loft to explore. I'm a bit scared really. Silly I know. I'll do it tomorrow...
