Mortgage Advice - Credit File

Firstly just wanted to say thanks to all the advice and information on this site i have managed to get an old DMP creditor default back dated to coincide with all the rest of my creditors that dropped off last year.

My new predicament I'm still paying this off which ends next year, but as none of this is now on my credit file, will applying for a potential mortgage be accepted or would they still know that i am in the plan ?

The rent I'm paying at present would easily cover mortgage payments

My Credit file has no adverse credit on their at all and shows nothing of the DMP i was in ?

any advice appreciated

  • It wouldn't be difficult for a lender to determine you were in a DMP.

Best thing is to be honest about your situation and use a lender that is happy to consider applicants on DMP.
