kindle books not downloading to second device..?

Anyone know where I even start on this one?
I have kindle books, most of which were downloaded to my first android device (phone) and now I've got the pictures of the books on my google nexus but the books won't open and won't download.
Anyone know what I'm supposed to do? I remember the days where you could read for 90 mins rather than spend 90 mins trying to work out how to access the book on a device :-(

How did you get the books onto your second device (the google nexus)?
You should have the Kindle for Android app installed on both devices (and registered to your Amazon account) and then they should just appear as available on your device without you doing anything. Or you should just be able to re-download them from Amazon via the Kindle app.
If you are transferring books from another computer, make sure you are copying them into the "Kindle" folder.
I don't use Kindle apps so don't know much about them, so if you want further help, I'd suggest posting in the Kindle section of the Mobile Read forums >

Thanks. In answer to your first question, I added a second device when I purchased a book from amazon recently. Then I chose that device to send the book to, I have read the book and was aware that all my other books are there on the carousel, but none of the others can be opened.
I keep getting messages 'unable to sync' etc as well.0 -
Also if I tap on any book I get the message 'Unable to Download. There was an error downloading the book. Please try again later. If you continue having problems, please contact Kindle Customer Service.'0

Where the book carousel is, underneath it says webpage not available, that it might be temporary down or moved to a different address.
Advice is to make sure I have a data connection, reload the webpage later, check the address I entered...no idea what that means as I just clicked on the app. Oh dear, my brain and I didn't sleep last night so I'm not very sharp, lol (that's my excuse anyway)0 -
I'm thinking that might mean I need to re download the kindle app...0

We have a Kindle Fire, a Kindle paper white plus a Nexus and download Kindle books to all of them without any problems, I can only suggest you uninstall the app. in case there is a problem with it then download it again.0
