2 weeks in the South of France: PLEASE advise

Hi all,

My second attempt at typing this! Your experties are needed with a trip we are planning to the South of France for the last week of November and first week of December. My husband, daughter (4), myself and mother in law will be going. We have never been to this part of France and know very little about it. We had a look at Siblu and liked what was on offer for kids etc.

Siblu unfortunately close at the end of September. If you know of a place or resort with things for kids to do situated in the South of France could you please let me know? It can be self catering or half board. Also, if anyone is aware of any discount codes floating about for use on internet or phone bookings please will you share.

Thanks for your help with planning this time away.

Please help. I have been searching on the internet for ages but I haven't been able to find anything with what we are looking for. Those I have come across seem to be closing for the season at the end of September/October!

hmmm Ive had a session around on google..... found a couple of things that you may have already found on your search:

http://www.francetourism.com/practicalinfo/families.htm places for familes and kids stuff.... Paris and around (I know it's not the area but thought it may give you a few alternatives)

and..... this site... I'm not really up to scratch on my provenices of France, but I hope maybe this calender gives youa couple of idea or leads you to further links....

Having stayed at many siblu/eurosite type holidays over the last few years, the vans are very cold at night for some reason even in mid summer! so november they will be very cold if any are open.

I would try to find a house/apartment via web sites such as frenchlife etc, that time of year they should be very cheap, far more comfortable, and give you more space.

Thanks everyone. I suppose my searches on Google didn't yield anything as I wanted to find a place that had everything we were looking for. It seems because of the time of year a lot of resorts shut. I will have a look at the links posted and hopefully we will find something worthwhile. Thanks again for your help

  • I was in a bit of a hurry when I posted my reply, but we've stayed at Pierre et Vacances many times and think they are great. The apartments are not huge, but warmer than a mobile home I should think.
We've only stayed at Port Bourgenay, Vendee, but have seen this one- Cap Esterel - it looks fantastic! http://www.pv-holidays.com/scripts/fiche_produit.php?id_ofr=241&id_sai_passe=2
