My PC crashed this morning with the BSOD. It is a couple of years old (Intel i5) running Win 7 pro. As delivered from Dell, no changes just some basic software installed. The only change to it recently has been an automatic MS update to Windows about 24 hours ago. Anyway it would not reboot and instead displayed the message Reboot and select Proper Boot device......
Looking around the web (on my tablet) most other users with this problem seem to have more than one HDD or made some hardware mods. I have neither.
So I press F 12 and selected "launch start up repair". That started and said Attempting repairs, may take several minutes . That was 20 minutes ago and the screen is still there cycling round with same message. Any suggestions

It's OK. I was typing on my tablet in another room. When I went back to my pc it was being recovered by the recovery program. Deleting a lot of corrupt indices. Now seems to be working again.:): I am however about to back up some of my recent photos, just in case.0

ALWAYS have backups of important stuff.
Years back i bought a 1TB drive when they were very expensive and thought to be massive..
I copied all my photos and files from old drives and computers around the house. The 1TB drive failed after a few days.. Silyl me had cut and pasted /deleted the pictures off teh old drives..
I had to do a raw surface scan of every drive to recover my pictures..
A big lesson.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
