It looks as if Lidl have dropped the "half price weekend" and are now doing "pick of the week"

In Area 3 for week of 21st -> 27th

Pork Shoulder Steaks 600g £1.79 ( reduced from £2.55 )
Pork Loin Medallions 400g £1.89 ( reduced from £2.79 )
Salmon Fillets in Chilli 220g £1.99 ( from £2.69 )
Beef Mince 500g £1.29 ( from £1.75 )

and F&V at 59p
Lemons 500g
Potatoes 1Kg
Mango ( each )
Mixed Tomato 300g

    Beef mince for me , will stock up. Was, in the old days, £1 per 500g.Cheaper per kg than other supermarkets.

    Looks like they are going for 4+4 meat + f&v to go against Aldi's 6+6. Will hopefully slow down the Saturday morning scrum and mean more availability.

    i buy the mince at normal price so this is ideal

  • It's an interesting change. On the one hand I'm sad to see the half price offers go, but on the other there is more choice.

    I can recommend the salmon. I buy this at normal price, and lots of times when it is 30% off (sometimes still with a couple of days date on). It is so easy to make as you put it in the microwave in the pack, no need to pierce or anything, and it is ready in a couple of minutes.

    Thank you Cralislis and welcome to the forum, have seen the salmon with the discount, though in my local store have to hunt down the original price. Will look it out.

    1Kg Pears, 1Kg Oaklands British apples; 500g deluxe shallots; 250g Oaklands spinach.

    Meat is:
    400g lamb loin chops, £3.49, that's 50p off
    432g Hunters chicken, £2.49, that's 50p off
    300g breaded haddock fillets, £1.29, that's 40p off
    300g breaded cod fillets, £1.29, that's 40p off
