View Word / Excel

Morning.

Once a week I teach a small group of retired people the basics of IT. Whilst it's slow going, as expected, one of the main problems is that the icons on the Word / Excel ribbons are very small and selecting the little black arrows for drop down menus very difficult for them.

Is there a way to make the ribbons larger? Seems odd that the page can be zoomed, and web pages can be zoomed but not the ribbons so I assume that there must be a way to do it.

Can anyone help please?

Why not just use the Magnifier that comes with Windows?

Thanks, but no. That magnifies everything whereas I only want to magnify the ribbons.

Thank - will give this a go next week, there's six laptops so I'll need to do this to them before the group arrives and then undo it after they've gone as the machines are used elsewhere.

I remember from the 'olden' days how easy it was to change the appearance and size of fonts and icons, didn't realise it was still possible to do.

I'll report back!

Contacted author to query system and it was written for Windows 7.

That'll be good as the laptops all run on W7.
