Is my meter faulty?

  • Energy suppliers won't charge if you say I don't think my meter is registering my usage correctly, as in not enough.

They'd only charge for an accuracy test if you were disputing that you were being billed too much.

I would get them to do a like for like exchange on the meter so you can be confident you're being charge correctly and no tampering etc.

Its an old mechanical meter, the dials will just be getting stuck.

As you said, contact your supplier, they will come out and change it. May even offer to fit a smart meter for you (you can decline if you wish)

Its one of the first of the electronic meters by Schlumberger, with an early digital cyclometric display. Dials could still stick tho I presume Its the sort of meter I see around a lot on sub lets/ farm installations. They sell for around £10 on Ebay etc. If the units are stopping and starting its very suspicious. So far we don t know if the OP actually has a supplier for this flat and meter.
One tip about this meter is that the red light will pulse to green if its been tampered/wired backwards.

lol, you have found me out, yes I m Beebopdeluxe, the bloke who collects electric meters. If anyone has the Schlumberger Sangamo SPA 03 I will pay good money for it !
If this post seems odd it was a response from cameltoe, formerly" espresso ". His post is deleted . I ve been objecting to his sexist username ! for anyone interested, google it.

It is rather worrying that a meter reader read BoomBoxDeluxeand posted Beebopdeluxe in your reply to my post about your video. No wonder there are so many meter reading errors!

You obviously have a filthy mind, a wild imagination and your forum etiquette certainly leaves a lot to be desired, posting insults such as reel your neck in kid and calling me a boorish idiot/juvenile/virgin

If you don't like my posts simply ignore them and move on.

I like your posts ! excellent advice with plenty of cutting remarks which I also like, please keep it up, the forum need users to liven it up a bit, but you appear to stray into straight insults now and again.
referring to your current username "cameltoe ".( brilliant photo, yes , I can see the resemblance to the L.M. )
If you say that you chose that name and it was a coincidence that it was also a slang name for the "Labia Majora " then I will believe you, ( Ladbrokes would nt ) Apologies if I have upset you. Please click on "report " to any of my posts you find insulting and let Megan decide, I ve had quite a few warnings myself from the moderators.
I wonder why you felt the need to change your username from "espresso " ?
