Kodi on Firestick vs T8 box

I recently side loaded TVMC to my Firestick, however it's not working as well as I had expected it to. A number of times message came up 'no streams available' for movies (haven't tried anything else so far) other times they were only available in foreign language.
A friend mentioned T8-AML-V3 box and said that she was really pleased with it aand she can watch all the latest movies without any problems on it. So I'm just wondering, is it worth me spending money on one of them or do I stick with my Firestick (no pun intended)? Thanks

This is probably due to ISP blocks/filters- some big ISP s such as BT, Sky, TalkTalk block some of the streams unless you do the following quick fixes on your router to quickly switch off the filters.

The filters are the main reasons why you could be seeing few or no streams for Genesis etc.

Possibly Kodi lol (just sent her a text to check). I appreciate that it's just a different streaming device, just think maybe bigger memory etc had an impact on streaming

I have found with Kodi it is best to keep to a light skin such as 'confluence'. Also keep to a tight selection of quality working add ons. see https://seo-michael.co.uk/tag/kodi/ and avoid 'builds'.
That way your set up should run smoothly with less buffering. It does of course help if you have a decent broadband connection, at least 4 mb per second download speed.

I've got a fibre broadband, just did a quick test and I get 14mb/s, which is not great but I suppose is ok for this time of the night. Thanks for the link henm2! so reading between the lines, I should persevere with my Firestick then? (Save myself money lol)

Use the confluence skin. You can change the background image if you want. Best add ons are Genesis,Phoenix, SportsDevil, UK Turk Playlist.

she uses Wookie, never heard of it before :huh:

Kids entertainment available within the sections under Phoenix. Wookie has various 'builds' of kodi. I do not recommend builds as they are usually too heavy for the stick but can be good on other devices.
