CitiFinancial want more info...

After my first contact, I had a letter back from Citi Card today, they say they need more information from us before they can complete their customer verification process. Admittedly we could only give them our card account number and not our insurance number but they had enough info to be able to check our file as I completed the 12 page questionnaire (we are no longer customers). Is this a normal reply from them? How much of their examples of information do we still need to send? Their letter contains two pages of examples! When I reply, do I just write a standard letter or is there a template letter that is best to use? Thank you.

Dont use template letters. They can reduce your chances of success on a complaint. Not that a template letter will exist to reply to something asked of you.

Give them what they want. It cant harm you and can only help. For accounts that are closed, they will have destroyed records over a period and may need you to fill some holes.

  • Thank you. After carefully reviewing their letter, I can only think it must be a change of address that they would need. I've replied to them with new info.
