My Barclays Bank account closed!

So my bank account got closed because someone complained about a transcation. Barclays are now asking for proof of my money [around £4,000]. They said proof such as wages/government funds?!?!

I don't work or receive wages. Most of my money has come from my parents and selling things on eBay and car boot sales.

What can I do? They are behaving like they have control over it, saying that I sourced the money so I should know how to proof it!?!

Please help

£4000 is a lot of income for someone who doesn't work. Aside from money laundering there's also tax evasion on the ebay/car boot income.

Barclays do have control over your account. If they're asking for proof of funds, you'll need to provide it. You must have a record of your Ebay stuff at least ? Can your parents provide proof for you too ?

    Oh I think you do!
Never happened to me before since I have accumulated over 500,000 sales on eBay
I sell cases etc on eBay

Yes I have records of eBay funds but some funds, I have physically went into the branch to deposit. How can my parents proof they gave me money?

In terms of wages / salary

So as you're self employed, you must have upto date accounts that you can present to the bank.

Your parents can provide you with a bank statement showing them withdrawing the money from their account.
