Contract of employment info

Hi,
I just received a job offer and signed the contract and posted it back to the company. I am due to start in 4 weeks. What I am wondering is, if the employer can cancel my contract now or is everything in place and its just the case of waiting for the start date? All I got is an email saying will be in touch closer to the starting date with an induction plan.

Cheers

First 2 years you can be dismissed for any reason. or no reason.
  • I mean I haven't started yet everything has been signed and arranged its just waiting for my start date. If they were no longer wanting to continue with this contract that I am suppose to start in 4 weeks? Can they terminate it? Also would they need to let me know or would they just assume I know they terminating if they don't reply to emails haha
  • Like I got a giving start date and everything
  • I am just waiting on that start date and al paperwork been signed and received by the company and waiting on the date I was giving to start.

Well if they can sack you for any or no reason, then of course they can terminate it. :)

Yes they'd have to notify you

I'm sure they wont, but just giving you a heads up
  • Cheers I just waiting to get my induction plan closer to time of the start date and that's it really its a global big organisation so they wouldn't really terminate unless they have a genuine reason?
