My sister has just come back from NYC, they stayed in an apartment (there were five of them). They loved it, it cost them about £35 a night for the whole apartment. I think it was a Best Western.

Do you know who she booked with?

Last December stayed at Southgate Towers Suite Hotel which is on 7th Avenue, literally around the corners from Macey's and Empire State Building. Has got good reviews on Trip Advisor. Comes complete with its own kitchen and we used to visit Cucina's deli at the base of Macey's and bring food back. They do all sorts of dishes hot and cold. Also has quite a few food outlets near by. Best of all the hotel was clean and within walking distance of everything.

    Have a fab time.

    Hi

My sis booked through these guys: http://www.apartments2book.com/

It was a Best Western appartment, she will email me the exact details of the appartment tomorrow. She said it worked out cheaper booking through the above people rather thank going through going with Best Western directly.

Following the above, this was the appartment booked, via apartments2book:

    Hospitality House No. 4
    145 East at 49th Street
    New York, NY 100017

    Hope this helps you.

We went in 2003, and booked an apartment on West 51st St. It worked out at £1100 for 15 nights, that was me, hubby & 2 kids. Then you've only got your food to worry about and you can eat really cheaply, and use the Metro buses, they're really cheap too. So is the subway.
This is who I booked through, https://www.ingrite.com
email Ingrite (she's Brazilian, nuts, but great!) email her telling her what you require and she'll send you back a quote. She also sent her driver to collect from JFK which was an extra £15 but worth it because we'd have got lost/ripped off otherwise!

  • Thanks guys, i've ended up in Second Home on Second Avenue, we felt that an apartment for the first time was a bit too adventurous for us, maybe next time!

Thanks for all the replies though, greatly appreciated!
