Late Payments Showing on Credit Report

In 2013 I was in a bit of a messy situation financially, using my overdraft most of the time, a large amount on credit cards etc. but managed to turn it around and have been in credit since 2014 in my current account and pay off the credit card and store card that I use for spending each month. I have one credit card that has a balance on from a balance transfer that I am in the process of clearing to get myself completely back on track.
However, on my Equifax credit report, it shows a Tesco Credit Card with 6 late payments from Feb 2013 - Sep 2013.
I did have this card and transferred the balance to another in October 2013 but I didn't miss the payments as it shows. My bank statements show payments being made to Tesco CC.
I have emailed Equifax to let them know and I am awaiting a response but will this be affecting my credit? How long does a late payment show for?
I am really trying hard to get back on track and improve my credit score.

they should correct it if you have proof it was paid on time. they'll show for 6 years but I think the impact of late payments goes down over time0

Just double check with your statements again to see whether the payments actually reached Tesco CC before the due date. If it was the case then they should be able to use it as proofs and correct the report.
Bear in mind that the due dates may sometimes move back or forth by a day or two..0
