Christmas Calamity

Advice for a friend (MTC) please.
The company she works for, one of the major supermarkets, has just announced disappointing results.
She was brought into the company to work on the festive marketing campaign, and now fears for her position within the company. She hasn’t been with them long and in fact hasn’t worked much since 2004. Mainly due to her specialised skills and unfortunately not being in great demand.
Her recent work was universally applauded and well received also receiving a commendation from the fire service. and she feels a little worried now that having finally found a job she may lose it so soon.

What advice are you looking for ?
I'm not really seeing a question.
Worst scenario her job ceases to exist and she has a good reference and a valuable addition to her portfolio with current and up to date experience with a market leader which will make her job search for her next position easier .
If her job is in low demand however she may want to take a broader view and see if there are other jobs where she can use her expertise - but offer more opportunities and job stability. Hardly having worked for ten years does imply she might benefit from reassessing if she can use her skills in a different field or even consider some kind of retraining.
Without knowing what she actually does it's hard to be more specific though .I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Sorry I fail to see the question (or enough information to answr any question)
However if I was CEO of a large chain and my marketing director (who hasn't worked for 11 years) failed to deliver, he or she would be out there and then.0 -

She obviously has only got a very limited skill set.
If I had only worked occasionally in the last 12 years, I think that I would have already worked that fact out for myself.and done some training or study to widen the appeal of my CV.
Apart from the above. Do you actually have a question?I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
