would help if we knew where you coming from , i am guessing when you say 10hrs its somewhere up north
for example from London your options are
National Express coach - stops in Newquay
Train - stops in Newquay
Air - Gatwick to Newquay"If I know I'm going crazy, I must not be insane"0 -
I prefer flying but for me it is all about time saving and could not be stuck on motorways or trains for hours on end it would do my nut in.0

If you get the sleeper train get off at St Austell (06:45) then catch the bus (just 20 yards away/can't miss it/in the car park of the station) it'd shorten the journey a bit. Catch bus at 7am, arrive NQY at 8am.
Whatever you do, don't change at Par, the train is walking speed. Always change from train to bus at St Austell. Better/faster and more options (e.g. town's alongside, v Par which is a lonely station in the middle of nowhere).0 -

just had a quick look Nottingham to Newquay
National Express is like 11hrs
Train is like 7hrs but 3 times the price
probably be cheaper and easier to go to London from nottingham then onto Newquay"If I know I'm going crazy, I must not be insane"0 -
You can fly Birmingham to Newquay return in August for GBP68 with Flybee. Add coach from Nottingham and it may be the quicker but not outragously expensive optionI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Mail trains? A bit late, the last one was phased out in 2004. Not for use by the travelling public anyway, unless you planned on wrapping yourself up in brown paper and string? No free lunch, and no free laptop

Hi there. If you split your ticket from Nottingham to Newquay it will be much cheaper. I am unsure of whether you can split ticket the sleeper train, but from Nottingham if you split your tickets at Birmingham new street, Cheltenham spa, Bristol temple meads and Taunton it will be much cheaper and you don't have to change trains usually until you are either at Plymouth or even par if you're luckier0
