Hi,
Does anyone know of a good site to check for possible flood information. I am looking to move house. I would like to be able to check the address of any potential home to make sure I don't move to a place which is likely to be flooded.

I did look at that site but I didnt think it was that helpful to be honest - or maybe I was looking in the wrong place on it. So I was wondering if there was any other site that provide good information."The time is always right to do what is right"0

https://www.homecheck.co.uk used to be great for just this type of query, plus a lot of other information (such as what the land was used for before the house was built etc). However, the site has been down for ages, with no explanation of why, or when it will be restored0

Thanks I tried that website and it seems to be working now. It does however seem to have been taken over by a new company. As yet I have not been able to work out the costs involved for using this site !
I ahve now found the cost it is "Reports on Residential Properties are available at £29.00 (plus VAT) each."
This seems quite expensive or is it just me ?"The time is always right to do what is right"0 -
I think it's the new HomeCheck Pro which charges, and from looking at their site, it's aimed at solicitors - they pay £29 to get the information and we then pay them £200 for local searches....
There used to be a free service, which is not available at the moment. Sounds like the takeover has something to do with it!0
