RBS v BOS ?

Currently with the RBS but looking to change. Is the Bank of Scotland ok? I mean secure/safe/decent customer service etc?

  • I've had BoS FPs suspended twice now, apparently for setting up payments of a few hundred pounds to an external account (in my own name). Despite the fact that they send codes which have to be confirmed via a mobile, they sometimes also make you wait for 'verification'. It's really annoying. Why not go with Tesco as there's no pay-in required.

BOS are much better than RBS.
You can also choose Halifax and service the account at BOS branches.
TSB and Clydesdale are also worth considering.

Tesco are fine but I wouldn't use them as my main bank.
