Overtime and pay when off sick for a short period

I was working part-time as a permanent employee at a high street store for Vodafone and recently left. I'm now thanks to my manager's inability to manage the store properly chasing up my overtime and holiday pay owed to me from last year.

My query is on one particular month I was off sick and missed 3 days of work but in the weeks that followed the sickness I worked extra days. I'm believe I'm entitled to be paid for the time I was off sick and the overtime/extra hours worked outside my contracted agreement/hours.

Am I right in this? I'm worried my boss is trying put the time I was off sick against the extra days I worked when I returned.

Sick pay for the first three days depends entirely on your contract.

If you are only entitled to statutory sick pay then this is not paid until day four so you would be entitled to nothing.

I would have thought that company such as Vodafone would have a pretty clear cut sickness policy.

Take it this is something you didn't look up at the time?

You don't have anything in writing?

No need to be rude, only asking. Some people don't think to look at it.

Well it's just that in the 3 messages you've posted so far you've not contributed anything. I wasn't being rude I would have used caps for that, just an observation.

You've basically reiterated what member Undervalued has contributed which was helpful.

Given I never mentioned SSP I don't see how I can be reiterating what they said?

I asked you a question that MAY helped. Fine, it didn't but I'm not psychic.

Many people come on here asking questions that depend entirely on their employer/contract.

Unless someone knows that specific employers policy, it's not possible to answer your specific question.

I believe these had already been mentioned...

Never mind you're doing your best.
