    why do you assume the ex is "he"?
    The word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Refers usually to difficult choice between two undesirable options.
    Often people seem to use this word mistakenly where "quandary" would fit better.

    Not sure about pride but your right I did have a very lucky escape, it was simply the last resort to go to court, she had a number of opportunities for a simple process including a 75-25% offer in her favour to get shot but she decided to go full on bunny boiler and make my life hell for 2 years.

    Hence the legal warfare, and I picked a better solicitor, even the judge tore her a new one for her behaviour and lack of respect for the court, hence him awarding me all my costs out of her share.
