Disappointed With The CCCS.

I filled in all the necessary information for CCCS online and got my Debt Remedy.
There were some areas which I disagreed with and I needed more help. Because 'phoning is difficult I emailed the CCCS three weeks ago, sent them a hard copy of my email two weeks ago and wrote to them a week ago.
I've heard nothing and I'm very disappointed as I really need urgent help.

They are really busy I know that does not help you at all. Is it DMP you are interested in? Because you can self manage one not sure if that is of interest to you.0

Sorry to hear that, JCB - have you tried any of the other Debt Counselling Charities?I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

What is DMP? No I haven't tried any other debt counsellors.
CCCS suggested bankruptcy. I'm not sure about that but I need a 3rd. party to negotiate with my creditors. I'm beseiged by 3 to 5 letters plus 9 to 12 phone calls per day!0 -
They did that to us so we have a self run DMP which isn't as hard as it sounds. You need to do a full SOA first so you can see where you are.Barclaycard 3800

Sorry to hear you are having trouble with the CCCS, we have been with them from March and they have been fantastic.
It didn't take us very long at all to get things set up but, as I recall, we filled in the online form, got a general suggestion that a DMP would be right for us, then we called to go though the budget with them.
I would suggest you print off the budget figures you put in, or have all of your incoming/outgoings details with you and call them. They would go through it with you (there are guidelines what are permitted expenses eg how much you can spend on a mobile, clothes etc) and advise you.
If you then decide to go with them, you send off your application and get a pack to contact your creditors.
As the other posters have said, put your SOA up and others can help you here while you get it sorted.
Good luck

Julian,
A couple of CCCS employees post on here. Maybe they could answer your questions.
I am also with CCCS, and have had no problems with them.Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

you state the advice was to go bankrupt, as far as i know CCCS don't do bankruptcies, you should have been passed onto either national debtline or your local Citizens Advice Bureau who can help you with advice on the advantages and disadvantages of bankruptcy, it isn't anywhere near as scary as you may think, with the kind of support, good luck.0
