My computer is driving me nuts it's so slow and keeps crashing. I've seen a lot of ads for TurboMyPc but I'm in two minds as to whether to go for it or not. Any suggestions for a preferable free pc virus protection for my desktop pc?

Avira or Avast? Or Kaspersky is free with Barclays online banking.
Why not backup your data and do a clean install or factory restore? If there's no hardware issue, this will usually solve the problem.
Which OS?No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

You've got 5 days before Windows Secrets goes to a paid format.
So google windows secrets and iirc the last item delivered tells you in a step by step approach how to clean up and speed up your computer for the new year.
If it works for you which it undoubtedly will and you don't have to be a techie to follow it then you might decide that you want to pay for the advice they give.
I've no connection to them and am seriously considering paying for their advice in future. It's your money. Except if it's the governments.0 -
