Morning Everyone,
Quick update from yesterday; OH had his paper work through from SC. They will only take £252 PCM. The other DMP were taking £275! SC letter said OH would be debt free in 9 years at this current rate but when the HP for his car ends in May all that will go to SC and they calculate with that added in he will be debt free in less than 5 years!
More good news from yesterday; OH moved our electricity supply from EDF to someone else not sure who. We now pay £88 per month and not £128 for single fuel!! EDF were appalling with their charges.
Todays' list in no particular order:
Check online banking.
Much sleeping as I am still not 100%
Hopefully NSD I don't think yesterday was.
Check / wash / iron job interview clothes...... yes have one this Friday morning :j
Check we have suitable nice / posh biscuits as the Vicar is popping round later today
Put a wash on. We do it any time of day as we are single fuel and not economy 7. We only have one tariff for it.
Have a lovely day everyone. Remember to keep smiling tooMoney scares me.:eek:
Honesty update will arrive shortly......:o0 -
Thanks for the start ally.

Morning all!
I was good and actually thought about my meal plan and changed it around so things don't get wasted. So instead of pizza, last night was HM burgers with HM pulled pork which OH made at the weekend - very scrummy. Also marinated my chicken last night in HM piri piri sauce for dinner tonight! I like feeling organised!
So today I have/will:-
* Check banks
* Eat breakfast (this was a new years resolution and so far I've managed 3 days!)
* Use free moisturiser sample
* Reuse sandwich bag for chopped carrots in my lunch box
* Take lunch to work
* No TV on this morning
* Check FPL
* Charge phone in work
* Update work expenses
* Finish writing letter so can print at work and "womble" an envelope and stamp
* Clear out some rubbish from my car
* Sort out draw in bedroom
* Sort out laundry
* Dinner from stores (very excited to try HM piri piri chicken and HM sweet potato fritters but could be a disaster as I know what my cooking skills are like!)
* Find hoover bags and put new one in
* Wash hair and let dry naturally

Hi All!
Today we've got a playdate with a friend at the playcentre - I'm determined not to order lunch like we usually do, so I'm busy packing up my DS2's lunch and sneaking in some snacks for me (you're allowed to take in food for a baby but not for yourself. Stupid rule if you ask me lol) plus having a big sarnie from stores before I go. I'm also:Doing a big dog walk somewhere nice this afternoon
Going for a run for free exercise
Sorting out the online food shop via mysupermarket according to the meal plan I've got set for the next month
All meals from stores
Aim for a NSD
Calling United Utilities to challenge our water bill that's shot up from £33 pcm to £144 pcm since we moved :eek:
Calling council re-council tax bill at the old property that they still think we're liable for
I think that's it for me, other than lots of jobs at home once DS2's tucked up for his nap later.

Morning Campers,
Another grey day of .......just for a change.....rain! Who'd have thought it?! Snow forecast for Thursday which will be a welcome change, even just to see a few little flurries of proper winter weather would cheer me up. I'm fed-up with endless weeks of dark drab days, I do realise how lucky I am not to have been flooded out though. I can't imagine how awful it's been for folk up in the North West. OK, today's efforts:
*Laundry done overnight on cheap tariff. Timer set again for final load of the week to be done tonight.
*2 gifts put in Presents Box - some lovely yarn given to me by friend (unwanted prize) which I think my sister will love, & a book for Mum which I bought using a voucher earned from a survey.
*Found half a pack of Christmas napkins - packed away for next year, also found a page of Christmas labels in a magazine I was given. Have cut out & made up with recycled card & ribbon & packed away for next year.
*Lunch will be yesterday's leftover veggie rice. Will put a bit of Aldi goat's cheese on top & flash it under the grill. Yum! I love leftovers.
*Trying new recipe tonight - Hairy Bikers' Channa Masala. Makes 4 portions so will freeze 2 for a free meal later in the month.
*Make tomorrow's packed lunch & work snacks.
*Work on a couple of tasks from my Annoying Things List. No cost implications, but money will be saved when I finally get them finished.
Have just lit my clay flower-pot heater up in Foxgloves HQ - 1st time this winter. I like the little glow of it as much as anything. OK, I can feel that the caffiene levels in my veins are receding so definitely time to go & put the kettle on & get them topped up!
Take care all, & keep on keeping on. These dark days don't do much for mood, at least they don't for me, but I know it's the lack of light & no outdoor gardening activity (too soggy at the moment) & that it will pass, so I just concentrate on the indoor stuff, moving projects on, etc.

La E - It must be frustrating for that account now to be back in O/D because of your partner's DDs. I found it much easier to budget once we both started working from the same joint account. I didn't think I'd like it as had been financially independent for a long time, but as the Budgeter in the Relationship, I can say that it is SOOOOOO much easier to keep the budget straight every month. Mr f is now very good at not frittering money but he used to have a vague 'general ball park' approach to money. So 'How much debt do you have on this card?' could get an answer of 'Not too bad, actually, around £500-ish'. Later it would turn out to be say £850! He wasn't lying, but he never kept tabs on it, so never really knew. I know that in the past, I could have asked him if there werre more DDs to come out of his account & he wouldn't have known for sure & would have given me a 'best guess' (generally wrong!). So when we decided to operate things jointly, particularly with regard to the paying of household bills, etc, we just seemed to gain so much more control. We each have a monthly amount to spend on whatever we want (when it's gone, it's gone), so he doesn't feel at all deprived & has actually told me how good he feels about his finances being on track after so long. I was a silly spender, but if anything, mr f was that bit worse. So sorting things so that your bills all come out of the same account would probably be really helpful for your budgeting.

Hey All
Another of 'those nights' baby awake every 1.5 hours till 3.30 from 12. Then gave up and put her in bed with us. I look like the before part of the wrinkle cream adslol. But hey ho. She's too adorable to be that bothered.
Had a delicious dinner of home made baked beans for dinner last night with chunks of chorizo in it. Then served it it a big glug of hot sauce and hand full of cheddar. It's a cheap meal as the chorizo goes a long way and for £2 it is going to live on in several other meals.
Tonight's going to be the 2 portions of chicken pie I froze at the weekend. And curly fries. Will try hard not not fall asleep face first in it
Have a lovely day everyone.

Hi guys :wave: thanks for starting the thread ally :A
Today is a home day as dgd is illjeez little one's can get so ill so quickly! Yesterday morning she was fine with a bit of a croaky voice & cough then around lunchtime she took a turn for the worst. Her face kept going as white as a sheet with lilac under the eyes, laboured breathing. Took her to the doctors and she gave some antibiotics and said if got any worse call an ambulance :eek: I had my works Christmas do last night so oh ended up having to sit with her in bed all night. She's much better now after 3 lots of meds, but it was worrying yesterday!
Feeling a little worse for wear so a day at home won't do any harm :T
Small things for the day:
* [STRIKE]checked banking and transferred cash into personal account from bills acc as dd has come out[/STRIKE]
* [STRIKE]made dgd a pancake in the hope she'll eat something (she managed a couple of mouthfuls) and made 2 extra pancakes which I'll put in her packed lunch when she goes to the cm this week[/STRIKE]
*[STRIKE] tidy up, vaccum & polish upstairs[/STRIKE] Well did our bedroom
* knitting
* [STRIKE]read some of my gardening book to see what jobs need doing soon[/STRIKE]
* [STRIKE]text oh and ask him to pick up milk on his way home[/STRIKE]
* [STRIKE]sort out finances spreadsheet for 2016 and make sure all the spends in December have been accounted for[/STRIKE]
* might clean the kitchen windows - might not though...
*[STRIKE] stopped following the kinship carers page on fb. I'm really glad to be part of the network but feel seeing all the sadness each day is not good for my mental health. This way I get to choose when I see it[/STRIKE]
* [STRIKE]call ds with free minutes[/STRIKE]
*[STRIKE] put all the birthday's in my diary. Am determined this year I will send all of my friends & family birthday cards on time and will be more organised with gifts for those I get gifts for[/STRIKE]
* [STRIKE]washing - never ending![/STRIKE]
Think that's it for me for today. Have a great day everyone xDF as at 30/12/16

Morning all!
Thanks to Ally for starting us off
La E - sorry your OH is still not quite there, but hopefully it will be a bit of a wake up for him! It's taken my OH ten years to sort his head out with finances!
A quiet evening chez Fanta but finally got all the little crochet squares attached to the bottom of the cardigan and have added the triangles in between. Two more half-triangles to do at the edges then I can carry on with the body. I hope that the square kinda flatten and straighten as I work, then are a bit bulgy at the moment.
Today's list:- B/L/D from stores (cooked brekkie, tuna butties and butternut squash lasagne today! mmmmmm)
- Charge phone in work - done
- Log calories in free app - done
- Crossfit at lunchtime - done
- Asked OH to take bins out and hoover living room - done
- Prep tomorrow's lunch
- Crochet
The epic shoes have arrived. They are SO SO joyful!!

could I ask a question of legomum?
yesterday you wrote
Walk at least 7000 steps to get bounts points
Could I ask , do you have to have a fitness tracker with gps to do this, what sort do you have please?
I am thinking of getting one but not sure which works with bounts
(and how often do you get a payout please?)
sorry to ask on here but I'v tried to find out and I;m not really getting anywhere
thanks again
Hi, yes I have a fitbit which I use to earn points, every day I walk 7000 steps I earn 10 points on bounts but you also can earn other ways, I go a local gym and the app gives me 10 points when it registers I've been there more then 30 mins, they gym also uses life fitness gym equipment which earns me another 10 points a day when I do 20 mins of activity on the bike/treadmill. I've had the fitbit since the end of july and joined bounts mid August I think, I've so far had 3 X £5 payouts. Its not a quick earner but it helps keep me on track. There are lots of compatable apps I believe but these are what I use.0
