Post Office 0% Card - don't bother!

in Credit cards
About a month ago I applied for a Post Office credit card 27 months 0% on purchases. I know my credit rating is good and so applied online enticed by the promise of an "instant decision." Instead after submitting the application I was told that they would be writing out to me for further information. I then received a letter requesting copies of 4 different forms of ID/proof of income be sent to them - and that these would each need to be certified by someone who works for the Post Office. Off I went to the Post Office armed with all my info, took the clerk quite a while to certify everything, then off they went.
A week later, another letter. The copies weren't certified correctly (thats despite the post office clerk following the instructions on the previous letter exactly) Off i trot to the post office again, met with confused faces, clerk who had initially served me since left, but managed to get someone to amend and (hopefully) certify correctly. Off in the post they went.
Fast forward to today and still nothing, so i rang them. They have no record of having received my correctly certified documents. Suggested I call back in a few days. I thought what the heck and applied for a Barclaycard Platinum instead - instantly accepted.
I wouldnt recommend the Post Office Credit Card, its just not worth the hassle!!

I must say I have never been impressed with them. I didn't have any hassle actually getting the card, but since then I've tried on three occasions to set up a direct debit to pay the balance in full each month. Each time they tell me it is set up but they don't take the money - so I gave up and got a Halifax Clarity Card instead.Never argue with an idiot. Especially not this idiot because I'm always right anyway.0
